1. Enrollment form only for Preparatory School and Precourse: completed in full and signed

   -  for degree programs with free admission: Applicants for degree programs with free admission must complete the online-registration. At the end of the registration process, the generated enrollment form is printed out directly, completed, signed and then uploaded to tuPORT. See here for further information.

   -  for degree programs with restricted admission: Applicants with a letter of acceptance of Hochschulstart or TU Berlin fill out this enrollment form in full, sign it and upload it to tuPORT.

Students enrolling in teacher training degree programs whose core subject is taught at TU Berlin:

• Please find out which secondary subject you can combine with your core subject. You should then complete and upload the form to be assigned a secondary subject (Antrag auf Zuweisung eines Zweitfachs). Once you have been assigned a secondary subject and enrolled at TU Berlin, you need to also enroll at the university where you will be taking your secondary subject (FU Berlin and HU Berlin). You will only be assigned a secondary subject and be able to enroll at TU Berlin after 31 August for the winter semester and 28 February for the summer semester.

Students who are or were previously enrolled at a German university:

• Certificate of termination of enrollment from the previous university attended with details of degree program, degree semester, university semester and any semesters taken as leave of absence.
• A current certificate of enrollment from the previous university attended with details of degree program, degree semester, university semester and any semesters taken as leave of absence will be accepted for enrollment in a program with free admission (without NC). It will also accepted for enrollment in a program with restricted admission (with NC), provided you can prove that the previous program of study has no admission restriction/no NC.
• You do not need to upload a certificate of termination of enrollment from TU Berlin.
• If the TU Berlin is NOT your main university and you would like to enroll at TU Berlin as part of a multiple enrollment, please upload a certificate of enrollment from your main university in Berlin or Brandenburg for the corresponding semester, which contains at least the following information: degree program, degree semester, university semester and any semesters taken as leave of absence.

Students who definitively failed an examination in a previous degree program:

• "Application for Recognition of Previously Obtained Credits (Part A)". You need to complete this form together with Part B and obtain written confirmation from the examination board for the degree program you have applied to at TU Berlin that the definitively failed exam does not prevent you from commencing the degree program.
  
  The decided "Application for recognition of previously obtained credits (Part A)" must have the stamp and signature of the examination board. If the stamp of the examination board is missing, you must additionally upload the accompanying e-mail or the cover letter of the examination board to your tuPORT for verification. If the application was provided with a digital signature by the examination board, the accompanying e-mail or cover letter from the examination board is not required.
  
  The "Application for recognition of previously obtained credits (Part A)" with the above-mentioned decision by the examination board must be uploaded to your tuPORT within the enrollment deadline.

Students wishing to study in a higher degree semester:

• Application for Recognition of Previously Obtained Credits (Part A). You need to complete this form together with Part B and obtain written confirmation from the examination board for the degree program you have applied to at TU Berlin that the higher degree semester you have been assigned to on the basis of your previous academic achievements in other degree programs.
  
  The decided "Application for recognition of previously obtained credits (Part A)" must have the stamp and signature of the examination board. If the stamp of the examination board is missing, you must additionally upload the accompanying e-mail or the cover letter of the examination board to your tuPORT for verification. If the application was provided with a digital signature by the examination board, the accompanying e-mail or cover letter from the examination board is not required.
  
  The "Application for recognition of previously obtained credits (Part A)" with the above-mentioned decision by the examination board must be uploaded to your tuPORT within the enrollment deadline.
  
  Information for re-registration at TU Berlin: If you were previously enrolled in the same degree program with the same study and examination regulations at TU Berlin, please note that it is not possible to be placed back in the first degree semester of a restricted admission degree program (with NC).

Students who have completed a degree at a university in Germany, another EU country, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway:

• Certificates of successfully completed final examinations (e.g. bachelor’s, master’s, Staatsexamen, Diplom, Magister) in one file

3. Existance of valid health insurance - notification by a German statutory health insurance company
   • Please be sure to read the additional information on health insurance proof

If APS/identity verification is “not fulfilled”:

• If you applied via uni-assist with an APS certificate, a subsequent certification, or an identity verification for Chinese DSD students “211”, you must now upload this document to your tuPORT.
• You must also submit the original paper copy by mail directly to the TU Berlin. Mailing address: TU Berlin, Office of Student Affairs - Undergraduate Admissions - IA 2, Straße des 17. Juni 135, 10623 Berlin, Germany.

   • All education certificates not issued in German or English have to be uploaded in their original language and as a translation in either German or English.
2. Proof of German language skills at the specified level

You are enrolled at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) or at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin (HU Berlin) in the core subject of a bachelor's degree program with teaching option and have received an assignment to the secondary subject Prevocational Education at the TU Berlin? Then you have to enroll for the secondary subject Prevocational Education at TU Berlin as part of a multiple enrollment:

1. Please fill out the TU Berlin online registration 1 COMPLETELY.
   Please note: Select "Multiple enrollment" in item 9 under "Type of registration". In item 12 ("Multiple enrollment") please answer all questions regarding your primary university: Name of university (UdK or HU Berlin), degree type, degree format and subject.
2. You will receive an email with login details for your personal TUB account (tuPORT).
3. Then upload the following documents as a PDF in your tuPORT:

• Enrollment form
• Proof of assignment to the secondary subject Prevocational Education at the TU Berlin, e.g. letter of acceptance from the UdK or HU Berlin.
• Certificate of enrollment from UdK or HU Berlin with details of the core subject, secondary subject Prevocational Education, degree semester, university semester and any semesters taken as leave of absence
• Valid ID, e.g. national ID card (front and back) or passport (the page showing personal data)
• University entrance qualification certificate (e.g. Abitur)

Only part A needs to be uploaded for enrollment.

• Lateral entry students wishing to study in a higher degree semester in a master’s program without restricted admission (degree title, degree type and standard period of study are not identical to the degree applied for at TU Berlin):
  • Application for Recognition of Previously Obtained Credits (Part A). You need to complete this form together with Part B. You need to obtain a document (stamped and signed) from the examination committee of the degree program you are applying for at TU Berlin confirming the higher degree semester you have been assigned to on the basis of your previous academic achievements in other degree programs. Only part A needs to be uploaded for enrollment.

• You have applied with an APS certificate/document or a re-certification document. This document must now be uploaded onto your TU account (tuPORT). In addition to this, you have to submit the original document (hard copy) directly to the Office of Student Affairs – Graduate Admissions Department, either in person or by post.
  • APS - “Akademische Prüfstelle” (Academic Evaluation Centre)
    • Educational certificates that were obtained in India (starting from the application period summer semester 2023), Mongolia, Vietnam or the People‘s Republic of China, have to be verified by the “Akademische Prüfstelle (APS)” which is a joint institution of the German Embassy’s cultural department and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The APS verifies foreign educational certificates regarding their authenticity and determines if they qualify for the access to a German university (higher education entrance qualification) on the basis of the assessment proposals set by the “Zentralstelle für ausländisches Bildungswesen (ZAB)” (Central Office for Foreign Education; database anabin). If the result of the verification is positive, you will be issued an APS certificate/document. Please upload this document onto your TU account (tuPORT) AND, in addition to this, submit the original document (hard copy) directly to the Office of Student Affairs – Graduate Admissions Department, either in person or by post.
  • Re-certification
    • If you already passed the APS certification procedure and afterwards continued your studies and/or obtained an academic degree in your home country, the following applies: further periods of study or the achievement of an academic degree in your home country may give you access to a wider range of study programs and might be crucial to get access to your desired study program at TU Berlin. In this case, you have to have both the further periods of study and your academic degree documents re-certified by the APS. Please upload the re-certification document onto your TU account (tuPORT) AND, in addition to this, submit the original document (hard copy) directly to the Office of Student Affairs – Graduate Admissions Department, either in person or by post.
