If you possess citizenship for multiple countries and you are interested in the first degree semester in a degree program with restricted admission (with NC), please note the following:
Applicants possessing a citizenship of Germany or another member state of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway, MUST apply for the TU Berlin with this citizenship at uni-assist. If not, your application will be rejected, or if already approved, approval will be withdrawn!
If you were previously enrolled in the same degree program with the same study and examination regulations at TU Berlin, you are a re-registrant.
For a restricted admission degree program (with NC), you can only apply as a re-registrant for a higher degree semester you were placed in by the TU Berlin examination board ("Fachsemestereinstufung"). The semester must fall within the standard period of study for your degree program and be offered the semester you are applying (i.e. winter or summer semester). If you apply as a re-registrant for the first degree semester of a restricted admission degree program (with NC), your application will be rejected by the TU Berlin. Please note the information for application for a higher degree semester: Applicant group D.

Only if you are applying for a restricted admission degree program (with NC), you must register with hochschulstart.de:

Special requirements and supplemental applications
You can claim special requirements and/or make supplemental applications. This is only possible if these are submitted together with your application to uni-assist by the deadline and in due form. You can find an information sheet and the special application forms in the download.
You can submit your application online exclusively. This means: The following required application documents don’t have to be submitted as hard copies to uni-assist but only in electronic form as PDF files by the end of the respective application deadline:
*) Certificates must always be submitted in the language of the country of origin. Should this not be English or German, a German or English translation of the certificate must also be submitted.
Please note: In certain cases, original documents or officially certified copies have to be presented for enrolment directly to the TU Berlin. This applies specifically to reasoned suspected cases, to random samples as well as to APS certificates in general.
