To apply you require the „Application for recognition of previously obtained credits (Part A)" from the relevant TU Berlin examination board with placement in a higher degree semester.
How to be placed in a higher degree semester:
You must submit the following to the relevant examination board of TU Berlin and request placement in a higher semester:
You can find the contact details for the relevant examination board via the TU Berlin degree programs (click on the degree program for which you are applying).
On the basis of your credits you will be placed in a particular degree semester for which you may then apply via uni-assist. The degree semester must fall within the standard period of study for the respective degree program at TU Berlin and must also be available in the semester for which you would like to apply. The placement decision must be identical to the degree semester for which you apply online in “My assist” online portal on the uni-assist website.
Should you have conclusively failed an examination in the degree program you have been studying thus far at a university in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway, the examination board must additionally be satisfied that the failed examination does not represent an obstacle to you being accepted to the degree program for which you are applying and indicate this in your "Application for recognition of previously obtained credits (Part A)".
The decided "Application for recognition of previously obtained credits (Part A)" must have the stamp and signature of the examination board. If the stamp of the examination board is missing, you must additionally upload the accompanying e-mail or the cover letter of the examination board to uni-assist for verification. If the application was provided with a digital signature by the examination board, the accompanying e-mail or cover letter from the examination board is not required.
It can take some time to process your application. We therefore recommend that you contact the examination board promptly in order to ensure that your placement in a higher degree semester of the degree program is complete in time. Because you must submit the "Application for recognition of previously obtained credits (Part A)" to uni-assist before the expiry of the application deadline.
The "Application for recognition of previously obtained credits (Part B) and the proof of all the credits you have thus far acquired are retained by the examination board.
