Groundwater model of the Western Mountain Aquifer in Israel
Our research projects concentrate on reactive mass transport in hydraulically and hydrogeochemically heterogeneous systems on a multi-dimensional scale as well as the characterization and modelling of heterogeneous aquifer systems and method development for the sustainable management of water resources in water scarce areas.
A wide range of methods is used to address these issues:
BMBF: Drought early warning systems for carbonate aquifers
DFG: Real-time prediction of nitrate transport
Water in Lusatia (WasserKultur)
Horizon 2020 (EU) - RECYLE - Migration and remediation of pesticides
Use of saline water for artificial groundwater recharge (SaltUse)
Repairing the present - Challenge nº11: Flow of Berlin
