We develop strategies and pilot projects for qualitative and quantitative groundwater and drinking water protection. New numerical and experimental methods ensure sustainable management of our water and soil resources.

Groundwater model of the Western Mountain Aquifer in Israel

Our research projects concentrate on reactive mass transport in hydraulically and hydrogeochemically heterogeneous systems on a multi-dimensional scale as well as the characterization and modelling of heterogeneous aquifer systems and method development for the sustainable management of water resources in water scarce areas.

A wide range of methods is used to address these issues:

  •     experimental process analyses
  •     hydrogeophysical field investigations
  •     numerical modellling techniques
