Our hydrogeological test field in Berlin Hobrechtsfelde covers two advantages:

  • This is where the field course with our instructors and students takes place.

  • Scientists develop new methods for exploring the subsurface.

More about our test field

Our research and training activities focus is:

  • The development of strategies and pilot projects on quantitative and qualitative protection of groundwater and drinking water,
  • The expansion of our knowledge of hydraulic, geochemical and biogeochemical processes in the vadose and phreatic zones and
  • The development of new numerical and experimental methods for sustainable management of our water and soil resources under aspects of climate and land use change.
