In the 2023/24 winter semester, the Institute for Language and Communication will undergo a mandatory evaluation in accordance with the faculty council resolution of October 20, 2021.

The evaluation period is from January 8th to January 21nd, 2024. After the end of the evaluation period, the lecturers will receive an evaluation report.

All other events can take part on a voluntary basis. Please send an email to the evaluation team of Faculty I.

The evaluation team offers all lecturers whose courses are assigned to the institutions of Faculty I the opportunity to evaluate the course. In addition, according to the faculty council resolution of January 6th, 2016, all courses of faculty I are evaluated every two years in order to improve teaching in the long term.

In order to be able to evaluate the evaluation results with the students in the courses, the courses are evaluated after 2/3 of the lecture period. This not only guarantees a timely evaluation, it also corresponds to the evaluation statute, which provides for an exchange between lecturers and students in the courses based on the evaluation results.

An evaluation of the evaluation forms will be sent to the lecturers electronically. You are obliged to discuss the results in the courses with the students.

The teaching evaluations carried out independently in the individual faculties can be compared using the questions on the teaching quality scale used throughout the university. The faculty council also sees the need to set limit values for the evaluation of courses at faculty I. If these are not met, the evaluation team will report the results to the dean and dean of studies.

To get a quick overview of the results, a traffic light system will be set up for these limit values.
