The Chair of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering imparts knowledge on all classical issues in the areas of classical soil physical and soil mechanical properties, soil statics, soil dynamics and numerical simulation of soil behaviour. Supplemented by courses in the field of tunnelling and earthquake engineering, the department offers a broad spectrum.
