The Society of Friends of the TU Berlin

For 100 years, the Society of Friends has supported education and science at the TU Berlin in a non-material and material way. Following Steve Wozniak's motto "Wherever bright minds work, doors are opened", the Society of Friends promotes projects in teaching and research, awards prizes and scholarships to students as well as to other TU members, and supports the dialogue between TU Berlin, business and the public.

The Society of Friends brings together students, graduates, teachers, industrial and commercial companies, as well as individuals from all areas of society, who feel particularly connected to TU Berlin and who want to contribute to its future.

Celebrating 100 Years

The commemorative publication marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Society of Friends of TU Berlin appeared in December 2022. It contains many stories, small and large, about the development of the “Friends of TU Berlin,” who since the very beginning have made it their cause to support first Technische Hochschule Berlin and then Technische Universität Berlin following its following its founding in 1946.
