Social-psychiatric services of the Berlin districts

Should you find yourself in an acute psychological crisis, or if you are concerned about the wellbeing of loved ones, you can contact the social-psychiatric services (SPD) provided by the Berlin districts. Psychiatrists, social workers and psychologists are on hand and can help organize hospital admissions. Home visits are also possible in the event of a crisis if you have made an appointment in advance. Social-psychiatric services in Berlin are organized by district. You will need to contact the social-psychiatric services for the district where you live.

Opening times:
Monday until Friday 08:00 – 16:00

Clinics

If you feel you cannot cope alone and need to be admitted to a clinic, you can go to the emergency center (Rettungsstelle) of the psychiatric clinic assigned to the district where you live at any time of day or night. If you suffer a crisis at a time when you are not near your home and you do not think you will make it there, please go to the emergency center of the nearest clinic. The staff there will arrange for you to be transferred.
