Erasmus+ Cooperation Projects

The Erasmus+ program offers a range of different funding lines to encourage cooperation, capacity building, and international collaboration.

Erasmus+ 2021-2027

Erasmus+ is the European Union's program to support general and professional education as well as youth and sport. It funds mobility for learners and supports people of all ages looking to acquire professional and intercultural skills. Erasmus+ also promotes European and international cooperation in education and helps participating countries modernize their education systems and youth work. The current generation of programs started in 2021 and will run through 2027.

The programme consists of different Key Actions. Key Action 1 (KA 1) adresses the broadly known mobility projects. Cooperation projects are funded via other Key Actions as:

  • Key Action 2 (KA 2): Cooperation between organizations and institutions
  • Key Action 3 (KA 3): Supporting policy development and cooperation
  • Jean Monnet Actions

Cooperation Projects in the Field of Higher Edcuation

Developing and implementing joint strategic partnerships and cooperation projects is an important element in the internationalization of higher education institutions. All Erasmus+ Key Actions (besides KA 1) offer funding for such cooperation projects. It is the applicants responsibility of taking care of the completeness and eligibility of the application. The NA DAAD as well as the EACEA offer information material and seminars for applicants for all funding lines. The signature of the president must be obtained via the International Projects Section (INT IP).

International Projects publushes fact sheets and organizes annual information sessions about the three KA 2 funding lines most relevant to TU Berlin (Capacity-Building Projects, Cooperation Partnerships and Alliances for Innovation). Applicants should also carefully read the original call documents published by the European Commission and check them for any changes. Updates to the Erasmus+ program guidelines and the application documents for individual funding lines may also occur during an ongoing call for proposals.

Important note: Regardless of which program line you are planning to apply for or participate in an application: Please be sure to follow the TU´s internal procedure and the corresponding deadlines in order to receive approval from the university management in a timely manner.
