grEEEn

The acronym grEEEn stands for Cost Management System for greening Electrical and Electronic Equipment and describes a method and a software tool that were developed as part of an EU-funded project of the same name. The aim of the grEEEn method was to support environmental experts and designers in developing more environmentally friendly electrical and electronic products.

The following organizations were involved in the project: Technische Universität Berlin, Institut für Kunststoffprüfung, (IKP) an der Universität Stuttgart, IVF Industrial Research and Development Corporation, GAIKER, Motorola, Siemens, Fujitsu Services, Lear, CIMA und PE. The partners represent various actors in the life cycle of electrical and electronic products, such as suppliers, manufacturers and recyclers. They unite both industrial companies and research institutions.
