The UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative set up a project group on the product carbon footprint to develop contributions to the international standardization projects of the ISO and the World Business Council of Sustainable Development.

Prof. Dr. Finkbeiner was selected to manage the project group of the UNEP/SETAC project group and represents this organization in the Steering Committee on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Standards of the World Business Council of Sustainable Development / World Resources Institute.
