Lukas Schöner

Lukas Schöner is a Research Associate at the Department of Management in Health Care at the Technical University of Berlin since September 2020.

He completed his Bachelor of Science in Management and Economics at the University of Innsbruck and his Master of Science in Applied Economics with a focus on Behavioural Economics, also at the University of Innsbruck. During his studies he worked as a student assistant on a research project in experimental/behavioural economics in the field of Credence Goods in the health care market. In this context, he also wrote his master thesis and investigated how the information asymmetry between physicians and patients leads to inefficiencies in the health care market and which instruments can be used to increase efficiency.

At the department, he mainly works in the projects “PROMoting Quality: Using PROMs to improve the outcome quality after hip and knee replacement” and “Outcome transparency and its effects on quality of hospital care”
