Katherine Polin

Katherine Polin works as a Research Fellow at TU Berlin’s Department of Health Care Management since February 2018. Previously she worked in the areas of global health and development, focusing on questions of financing, governance and policy and access from an international- and national-level perspective. Most recently Katherine worked as a Consultant for SEEK Development, a strategic and organizational consultancy, and at the Robert Koch Institute. She was a Robert Bosch Transatlantic Fellow for 2014-2015. Katherine holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University, where she wrote her thesis on facility-level measurements of obstetric care in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She currently works on the “Outcome transparency and its effects on quality of hospital care” project – a project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
