Service at the center of mass spectrometry
Welcome to the center of mass spectrometry at the institute of chemistry.
The analysis center of the TU Berlin offers every research group of the institute (after agreement also groups of other institutes of the TU Berlin) to analyze samples with different methods of mass spectrometry. Moreover, we give advise in other applications of mass spectrometry with respect to structure determination or reactivity of gaseous ions and perform experiments in collaboration with the research groups.

Measurements & Sample Submission

Our laboratory is equipped with four mass spectrometers, running with different ion sources. We perform full scan measurements as well as measuremts for structure determination and reactivity in MSx experiments. We use HPLC methods as seperation before mass analysis (LC-MS) and we perform ion mobility measurements.

Software & Data Usage

After measurements, the mass spectra are transferred to tubCloud. Orbitrap mass spectra (Thermo Fisher Scientific, .raw files) can be openend and evaluated using the software 'Freestyle'. Please find further information and download files here. 'Freestyle' is also provided in the software shop of the TU (Client Command Installer) for installation on your pc at the institute of chemistry.
