Welcome to the Chair of Naturalistic Driving Observation for Energetic Optimisation and Accident Avoidance at the Institute of Land and Sea Transport Systems in Faculty V at Technische Universität Berlin. Naturalistic Driving Observations (NDO) and electromobility are two rapidly growing fields of research in automotive engineering. In the future NDOs will be increasingly used to improve the safety of vehicles and traffic facilities. 

Electromobility poses a long-term alternative mobility concept for combustion engine vehicles and engineers require a comprehensive understanding to develop viable solutions. Our academic chair combines these two areas, further enhancing TU Berlin’s research profile.
