Flight Mechanics, Flight Control and Aeroelasticity

Applied Flight Mechanics and Flight Control

Content

The module Applied Flight Mechanics and Flight Control belongs to an advanced project module for interested students who want to apply and deepen their acquired knowledge from the modules Flight Mechanics I-II and Flight Control to a flying system. In an introductory course the project tasks are presented. During the semester the students are supervised by mentors (staff of the department) in their respective project groups. The students develop solutions for their project tasks with the help of an unmanned aircraft. Depending on the task, methods for measurement or control have to be developed and tested in flight. The final grade consists of an interim presentation as well as a final presentation and a scientific paper on the project task.
