Flight Mechanics, Flight Control and Aeroelasticity

Analyse und Bewertung der Lasten an einem Tragflügel mit kontinuierlichen Klappenkonfigurationen im Landeanflug (Analysis and evaluation of loads on an airfoil with continuous flap configurations during landing approach)

Abstract

Within the scope of this work, the static and dynamic loads acting on an airfoil (e.g. root bending moment) and how they are influenced by the deflection of the flap system will be analyzed. During cruise flight, flap systems are already used for active load mitigation. In this paper, the loads during landing approach will be considered and suggestions will be made for the flap system procedure to achieve load reduction on the airfoil (e.g., depending on the degree of turbulence, airspeed, remaining fuel mass in the airfoil).
