    Guest lecture: Flight performance from the user's point of view

    Dear students and friends of flight mechanics,


    we are pleased to announce a guest lecture for Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 14-16 hrs by Cap. Claus Cordes on the topic "Flight performance from the user's point of view" to be announced.

    Cap. C. Cordes is an aircraft design engineer and flew for many years as a commercial pilot for Lufthansa, most recently the A380. Today, he is involved as president of the German Aero Club and is also a glider, powered flight and UL pilot in his private life. In his presentation, he will talk about his many years of experience as a passionate pilot of small and large aircraft. The focus will be on practical examples of scheduled flight, primarily with regard to flight performance-related aspects such as cruise, climb and take-off performance.
