Flight Mechanics, Flight Control and Aeroelasticity

Flight Measuring System

  • Measurement and recording of air data (airspeed, angle of attack, barometric altitude, temperature and pressure) as well as flight condition data such as attitude, turning speeds, position and control forces
  • Data recording at 100 Hz; the measurement and sampling of the analog signals is done with a fourfold oversampling
  • Easy management and configuration of software and hardware for adaptation to special measuring tasks
  • Currently installed in the STEMME S15 prototype for flight tests
  • The measuring system does not have an aviation certification!

  • Measuring computer (PC104+ real-time system)
  • Control Box
  • Air data mast with wind vanes for angle of attack and side slip angle as well as 5-hole probe (Company: messWerk)
  • 4 pressure sensors (Company: setra, Model: 239 and 270)
  • Sensors for recording the control forces (measuring range: ± 500 N)
  • Sensors for recording the rudder angles
  • Integration of the components by TU Braunschweig
  • Connected to: Inertial Navigation System iTraceRT-F200
