AG Physical Foundations of IT Security (FITS)

Our research interest is in fundamental methods and technologies as well as applications of physical model systems for photonic and quantum information processing. On the methodology side this includes quantum light sources and photonic quantum memories to store non-classical states of light. On the application side this includes repeater-based quantum communication, optical quantum computers, and optical neuromorphic computing architectures for artificial intelligence.
