The students have mastered all relevant aspects of exchange rate formation and dealing with foreign currency risks. They are capable of designing suitable hedging strategies for a range of risk situations, applying the necessary hedging tools. They have also gained the knowledge to examine the advantageousness of cross-border investments and to use futures trading to reduce finance-based false incentives.
The teaching units on international finance management focus above all on shaping foreign currency management. The following specific issues are covered, among others: exchange rate formation, swap transactions, options, forwards and futures and the hedging strategies related to them. The importance of currency risk in international direct investments and international diversification is also analysed.
