Wir suchen Unterstützung im Fachgebiet EVUR in der Arbeitsgruppe "Reaktive Mehrphasenströmungen - Experiment und Simulation“ zur Mitwirkung am BMBF geförderten Projekt "HydroCycling“. Ziel dieses Projektes ist die Etablierung eines Verfahrens zum chemischen Recycling von Kunststoffabfällen durch Hydrierung. Für die Unterstützung bei der Durchführung von Hydrierversuchen mit reinen und gemischten Kunststoffabfällen wird eine studentische Hilfskraft gesucht.

Working field:

We are looking for support in the EVUR department in the working group “Reactive Multiphase Flows - Experiment and Simulation” to participate in the BMBF-funded “ HydroCycling” project. The aim of this project is to establish a process for the chemical recycling of plastic waste through hydrogenation. A dedicated student assistant is needed to support the construction and operation of a cold model reactor to investigate the flow properties of polymers and their hydrogenation products.

Muss

Tasks

We are looking for support in the EVUR department in the working group “Reactive Multiphase Flows - Experiment and Simulation” to participate in the BMBF-funded “HydroCycling” project. The aim of this project is to establish a process for the chemical recycling of plastic waste through hydrogenation.

The candidate will be responsible for the experimental design and operation of a 2-liter high pressure autoclave to test various process conditions for the chemical recycling of pure and mixed plastic waste. He/She is also responsible for further analysis and identification of the polymer and products during and after the experiments, e.g., B. Micro-GC, GC-MS, GC-FID and simulated distillation. The results are then discussed and exchanged in the multidisciplinary team.

The possibility of a doctorate is given.

  • Successfully completed university studies (diploma, master, or equivalent) in the field of chemical engineering, process engineering, or related disciplines
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills

Simulations at different reactor conditions are carried out. He/She will also be responsible for the design, construction, and operation of a cold model of the reactor to verify the results of the simulations.
