Marc Karahan

Marc's research ambition is to foster knowledge of sustainable entrepreneurship. In his PhD project, he explores how (academic) entrepreneurs can combine business success with social and environmental impact and how incubators can nurture sustainability-orientation in start-ups. Before his appointment as a researcher at TU Berlin, Marc consulted corporates and public organizations on innovation ecosystem strategies at the Center for Responsible Research and Innovation (CeRRI). Furthermore, he gained several years of work experience in different industries, which enables him to match scientific excellence with entrepreneurial pragmatism. Marc spent five years in the energy sector, working as an IT project manager. Additionally, he worked for one year in the corporate and business development function of a leading Fin-Tech company. Marc graduated at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, holding an M.Sc. degree in Economics of Innovation and Growth.
