Born and raised in a remote valley of Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan (the Himalayas) Raza started his education from northern mountain area of Pakistan. He earned his Master degree in Agribusiness Management from University of Debrecen Hungary with research focus on apricot value chain in Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan. He has an extensive professional experience in development sector as he worked with different NGOs for community development, enterprise development, value chain development, agribusiness and entrepreneurship in the rural areas of Pakistan.
As a PhD candidate at TU Berlin, Raza is conducting his research on agricultural entrepreneurship in the Himalayas of Pakistan, with an aim to identify and analyze the constraints/challenges of agricultural entrepreneurship in the rural areas (Gilgit-Baltistan region) of Pakistan.
