Electrical Energy Storage Technology

Energy Storage Technologies for mobile Applications

Module description in MTS

Credit points: 6 ECTS (4 course hours per week)

Content

Since summer semester 2022, there has been an equivalence regulation for the compulsory subject Energy Storage Technologies for Mobile Applications (MEST) with Basics of Battery Technology (GBT, in the summer semester) and since summer semester 2023 with the module State Estimation and Diagnostics of Battery Systems (SDB, winter semester).
Which one should you choose when studying Automotive Systems?

1. If you have already made GBT (or any other module to batteries) > SDS
2. No prior battery knowledge > GBT
Important: You must always register MEST! If you want to do both modules, please register one MEST and one other. MEST is no longer offered for other degree programmes.
