Process & Plant Dynamics

Process and Plant Dynamics deals with the fundamentals of modeling process engineering processes. For this purpose, a modeling system based on first-principles modeling is introduced and applied using examples from process engineering practice. First, models for steady-state processes are established before dynamic process modeling using pure differential equation systems and differential algebra systems is introduced. For treated model structures, common solution methods are presented and directly applied to created models. Furthermore, process dynamics as well as the development of control concepts are treated.
