Research

After my PhD on mixed-integer optimization under uncertainties, I have focused more on dynamics. Here, I am interested in the whole area from dynamic modeling to uncertainty quantification to real real-time applications on process plants.

Other research interests:

  •     Optimal and optimizing operation of process plants.
  •     Development and application of experimental design and parametric estimation methods
  •     State estimation in systems with widely varying measurement frequencies
  •     Modeling strategies for dynamic optimization
  •     Optimization under uncertainties using probability constraints
  •     Optimal synthesis of process plants, also considering dynamics
  •     Application of machine learning methods in process engineering
  •     Data models for linking process engineering information
