Process Dynamics and Operations

The main focus of the work of the Department of Process Dynamics and Operations is on the development, design of optimal and sustainable processes as well as efficient process control. The spectrum of research activities ranges from fundamental work to very application-oriented projects.

Methodologically, modeling, simulation, optimization and experiments are closely interlinked at our company. Experiments are conducted on a laboratory scale as well as on a mini-plant scale in an industrial environment. Dynamic modeling and optimization has been a central focus of the department since its inception.

Furthermore, the department has a recognized expertise in the field of hybrid and reactive thermal separation processes. The mentioned topics are not only represented by the department in research, but also in teaching at the TU Berlin. Here, in addition to a basic education, the transfer of current knowledge and findings is of essential importance.

On foot / public transport

The department is located on the campus in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, which can be reached via the Zoologischer Garten transportation hub. This is serviced by the underground lines - U-Bahn: U2, U3, U9 – and rail lines: S3, S5, S7, S9.

Exit the station in the direction of Hardenbergstraße/ Hardenbergplatz. Then follow Hardenbergstraße as shown on the map and turn right into Fasanenstraße. d|b|t|a´s offices are located after 300 m down the road on the left side.

Berlin public transport company (Tram, Bus)

By car

The department is located on the campus in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf of Technische Universität Berlin. Parking spaces can be found on "Straße des 17. Juni" front of the main building. For navigation, please use: "Straße des 17. Juni 135, 10623 Berlin".

After parking, follow the Straße des 17. Juni in the direction of Siegessäule (Victory Column) and turn right on Müller-Breslau Straße and continue right into Fasanenstraße. The department is located on the right-hand side of Fasanenstraße.

By plane

You can reach TU Berlin from BER Airport by public transport. The S9 connects the airport with Zoologischer Garten train station. From there you can reach the department on foot in 5 min.
