|Andreas Reigber received the Diploma degree in physics from the University of Constance in 1997, the Ph.D. degree from the University of Stuttgart in 2001, and the Habilitation from the TU Berlin in 2008. He is currently head of the SAR technology department at the Microwave and Radar Institute of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofen, where he is directing the airborne SAR activities of the institute. In parallel, he serves as adjunct professor at the TU Berlin.|
|Andreas Reigber’s main research interests are the various aspects of multi-modal SAR, like SAR interferometry, SAR polarimetry, SAR tomography, as well as filtering and classification aspects of high-resolution SAR data. He is well known for his pioneering works in the field of three-dimensional tomographic SAR imaging. Additionally he is heavily engaged in the design, construction and operation of cutting edge airborne SAR sensor technology. He has published more than 200 papers in refereed journal and conference proceedings.|
|Andreas Reigber is Fellow of the IEEE. He has received several prize paper awards, among them the IEEE TGRS Transactions Prize Paper Award in 2001 and 2016 for works on polarimetric SAR tomography and non-local speckle filtering, respectively, as well as the IEEE TGRS Letters Prize Paper Award in 2006 for a work on multi-pass SAR processing.|
