Society of Friends of TU Berlin

About

The Society of Friends of TU Berlin fosters and promotes education and research at Technische Universität Berlin and provides material and non-material support by sponsoring projects and activities that cannot be realized within the scope of the normal budget. It plays a connecting role between Technische Universität Berlin and the public, promotes the cooperation of the University with its friends, sponsors, alumni, and other organizations, and establishes good and beneficial relationships between Technische Universität Berlin, industry, and business enterprises.

More than 800 members – including students, researchers, former TU Berlin members, and alumni, as well as individuals from politics, science, business, and culture from outside the University – are committed to the work of our Society of Friends. They are regularly informed about what is happening at TU Berlin by means of free copies of the following publications: the publication of the Society of Friends, TU Berlin’s university magazine “TU intern,” and the TU semester supplement published in the national newspaper “Tagesspiegel.” Members are also integrated into our University network and receive preferential invitations to many events. In the general meeting, members have the opportunity to voice their concerns and participate with their votes in shaping the work of our Society of Friends.
