“Let us bring a bit more ‘we’ and a little less ‘me’ into the world.” - This was President Geraldine Rauch’s message to the 500 guests in the Atrium on 20 January. Staff and students as well as representatives from science and politics came together to look back on the past year as well as look ahead at what the coming year holds. In addition to the welcome address by senator for science, health, care, and equality Ulrike Gote and Geraldine Rauch’s New Year’s address, the event also featured the award ceremony for the “We are TU Berlin” prize, which is awarded to especially dedicated University members. The recipients each received 250 euros to be donated to a charity of their choice. The University band InTUne provided musical accompaniment throughout the afternoon with four original songs.
