Communications and Information Theory Group (CommIT)

The communications and information theory group (CommIT) has a long standing history at TU Berlin. In April 2014, Prof. Giuseppe Caire was awarded the Alexander von Humboldt Professorship and has headed the department since then. CommIT focuses on fundamental and applied research on communication theory, information theory, signal processing, and networks, with a particular emphasis on wireless communication systems.

B.Sc. and M.Sc. students interested in specializing in these areas at TU-Berlin can contact any of the CommIT members for further information. In particular, M.Sc. thesis projects may be available here. Research assistant positions may also be available here.

For more information on the scientific areas covered by the CommIT group, please take a look at our current research site and also at the home pages of the IEEE Information Theory SocietyIEEE Communications Society, and IEEE Signal Processing Society.
