Our research group has a long-standing history at TU-Berlin. It was founded by Prof. Holger Boche in 2002, and was led by Dr. Slawomir Stanczak from 2010 to March 2014. In April 2014, Prof. Giuseppe Caire joined TU-Berlin with an Alexander von Humbold Professorship and he is now the head of the group. CommIT focuses on fundamental and applied research on communication theory, information theory, signal processing, and networks, with a particular emphasis on wireless communication systems.
B.Sc. and M.Sc. students interested in specializing in these areas at TU-Berlin can contact any of the CommIT members for further information. In particular, M.Sc. thesis projects may be available here. Research assistant positions may also be available here.
For more information on the scientific areas covered by the CommIT group, please take a look at our current research site and also at the home pages of the IEEE Information Theory Society, IEEE Communications Society, and IEEE Signal Processing Society.
Commit will organize a workshop on communication technology, sponsored by Huawei, with the title "How to achieve 1Tbps in Wireless?"
Please visit the workshop webpage for more information.
