Main areas of work: Management and control of the Center for Junior Scholars. Representation of the CJS within and outside the TU Berlin. Participation in the development and coordination of the promotion of junior scholars at the TU and within the Berlin University Alliance (BUA).
Johannes Moes, political scientist by training, was head of TU-DOC office for doctoral candidates and postdocs from 2017 to 2020 and is in charge of services for doctoral candidates and postdocs within the CJS. Before, he coordinated the internationalization of programmes at Humboldt-University in Berlin, served as management consultant for higher education institutions at HIS in Hanover, and worked at the Social Science Research Center in Berlin.
He is responsible for all fields including consulting (esp. in conflicts), and his specific duties entail the support of applications for funding of research training groups and of the Young Academics Network, agreements on joint PhDs and strategic measures.
Susanne Teichmann has studied Computer Science, is an advisor and deputy head of services for doctoral candidates and postdocs within the CJS and has worked in several appointments at TU Berlin.
Apart from consulting PhDs (especially for the Elsa-Neumann grants of Berlin) and PostDocs she coordinates the cooperation with the Family Services Office, awarding of conference travel grants, organisation of trainings for the network of doctoral programmes and the yearly introductory events together with the faculties.
She is currently one of the representatives in the Academic Senate.
Dr. Andrea Adams has earned a master and a PhD in history at the HU. She has worked at the Dahlem Research School and at the Graduate School in History and Sociology in Bielefeld.
Since 2019, she organizes the proMotion program for female doctoral researchers.
Dr. Simone Bartsch has a diploma as well as a doctoral degree in sociology, and is an expert for quantitative surveys who has worked at Freie Universität Berlin, the DIW and the University of Bremen.
Since 2019, she is responsible for studies and surveys on the careers of female (and male) doctorate holders of TU Berlin, but is as well glad to answer questions on the condition of doctoral researchers in general. She is also TU-Coordinator for the Career-Building Programme of Femtec GmbH. With additional hours, she also takes care of the doctoral database.
