Benefits: Grants and more

The ERASMUS+ programme offers students the following benefits:

  • monthly allowance for living costs
  • special benefits if required, e.g. taking child(ren) along, special needs due to disability or chronic illness
  • EU traineeship agreement between university, company and student (Learning Agreement for Traineeships)
  • support with language preparation
  • support during the internship through a contact person at the home university and in the company
  • guaranteed academic recognition or documentation of work done abroad

We also support you with the following services:

  • Advice on internship preparation and implementation
  • Advice on finding an internship
  • Information on legal and bureaucratic issues in our ISIS course (in German only)
  • Support with problems during the internship
  • Issue of a mobility certificate
  • (upon request) issuing of the Europass Mobility

Eligibility

The following criteria must be met in order for us to accept your application for the ERASMUS+ grant:

  • You must be enrolled for the entire duration of the internship. For budgetary reasons, we cannot fund internships for graduates.
  • Your internship must take place in one of the 34 ERASMUS+ programme countries.
  • The duration of the internship must be at least 2 months.
  • The internship must be equivalent to a full-time job.
  • Your personal ERASMUS+ quota of 360 days per study cycle is not yet exhausted.

Social Top-Ups

Inclusion and equal opportunities are central concerns of the Erasmus+ programme.
Therefore, students with a proven degree of disability (GdB) of 20 or more as well as persons with chronic diseases can receive a special grant of 250 € per month. This also applies to parents with child(ren) as well as first-time academics and students with part-time jobs.

In addition, there is a special grant of 50 € (one-time lump sum) for the use of sustainable transportation.
