Deutschlandstipendium - Talent meets Funding

The Deutschlandstipendium is an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) intended to promote a new funding culture. High-performing, socially committed students from different disciplines and all nationalities receive support for their education. Aside from excellent academic performance, applicants’ personal circumstances are also taken into consideration during the selection process.

Since the start of the scholarship program, TU Berlin was able to award 1,489 Deutschlandstipendium scholarships to its students, 153 of them in the current funding period 2023/2024.

Scholarship holders receive EUR 300 a month for at least one year - a scholarship is equally funded by private sponsors (companies, foundations, associations and private individuals) and the federal government. Funding is independent of personal or parental income and does not affect the BAföG allowance.
