Welcome Center

The Welcome Centre of the TU Berlin provides administrative and organisational support to international guest scholars before and during their stay at the TU Berlin. Their Guide for International Researchers contains useful information for your time in Berlin.

TU-DOC Office

Aimed at doctoral and postdoctoral researchers the TU-DOC Office offers advice on administrative and organisational questions, on career and funding options and provides information on courses for transferable skills.

ownCloud

ownCloud is a free, secure and open source alternative to other cloud services, which was developed at the TU Berlin.

University Library

On the website of the TU Berlin university libraries you can search for books, journals etc., find out how to use the libraries and where the different libraries are located. The central/biggest library of the TU Berlin can be found at Fasanenstr. 88, 10623 Berlin.

IT Service Center

The tubit is the IT Service Center of the TU Berlin and can help you with any problems you might have with your TU Berlin account or other IT services.

ISIS 2

The Information System for Instructors and Students ISIS2 is a learning platform for TU Berlin members which you can use to communicate with colleagues/other students and to find course material.

Registration of Inventions

The Section Research Contracts, Licenses and Patents has overall responsibility for the negotiation and legally binding signature of research-related contracts.

Human Resources

Family Office

The Familienbüro provides information and support concerning all family-related issues, e.g. finding the right school, kindergarten or babysitter for your child or how to reconcile work and family life. Furthermore their website lists on-campus offers relevant to students and employees with children (in German only).

Dual Career Service

The Dual Career Service helps with finding suitable accommodation and childcare options, navigating the German school system and adjusting to everyday life in Berlin. They also provide career transition counseling services for your partner, for example by arranging contacts to potential employers in the region.

Women's Representative

The Zentrale Frauenbeauftragte helps all TUB members with any gender equality concerns and presents projects regarding gender equality.

Staff Council

The TU Berlin-Personalrat informs and decides about all staff related matters.

Disabled Employee's Representative

The Schwerbehindertenvertretung helps disabled employees of the TU Berlin with any concerns or problems.

Counseling

The TU Berlin Psychologische Beratung (Counseling and Psychological Services) will help you if have a problem that you feel you can't solve or if you just need someone to talk.

Other Activities

Language Courses

The ZEMS (Zentraleinrichtung für moderne Sprachen) offers language courses for all students and employees of the TU Berlin, including classes for German as a foreign language.
The Sprach- und Kulturbörse is organized by students of the TU Berlin and offers language courses and other language-related events for all students and employees of the Berlin universities.

Soft Skill Seminars for scientists

The ZEWK (Zentrale Wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung und Kooperation) offers courses for scientific staff with focus on teaching, research management and science communication. Some of the courses are taught in English.

Soft Skill Seminars

The Servicebereich Weiterbildung offers countinuing education courses and services to all members of the TU Berlin. The range of courses is extensive, but courses are mainly in German.
