The aim of SIforREF is to significantly improve the integration policy for refugees at regional and local level in four affected regions or - if not available - to initiate it in order to enable refugees to find their way into the labor market or to become self-employed. This is intended to counteract the risk of refugees being marginalized after the admission process, which is organized differently in the Central European countries. SIforREF wants to ensure that refugees are involved in the development of innovative measures for the way to work or self-employment. At the same time, the project wants to make regionally and (inter)nationally known success stories of rapid integration via the labor market and self-employment. In addition, we support political decision-makers and other stakeholders in initiating exemplary pilot projects and making them more widely known.
