The primary goal of the project is to support Iran in realizing its climate goals through specific training and further education measures as well as international knowledge transfer. Iran aims to cover at least five percent of its energy needs from renewable sources by 2020. The development of a "green economy" is to be promoted and economic incentives for the use of technologies in the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency are to be created. As part of the project, a concept for the construction of a "Green Energy Center of Iran" will be drawn up and measures for know-how transfer and capacity building will be carried out. The target group of the project are multipliers from the public, private, academic and financial sectors. Particular attention is paid to the integration of training measures into existing academic training programs.
