EmoTek-Flexi: Workshop for e-mobility for FutureTechnologyEducation, flexible in the district

Description of the project

The future technologies of electromobility and renewable energies should be taught neighborhood- and target group-oriented, practical and integrative as an extracurricular, leisure-related educational offer. The concept will be tested, optimized, and continued in the long term, as well as being transferred to other facilities and districts with a corresponding need for action. The implementation of the mobility and energy transition is imminent for climate protection reasons and will lead to many changes in the big city. Citizens must be informed in good time to be able to act and make decisions. Socially disadvantaged families hardly have access to technical education that focuses on future technology such as electromobility and renewable energies in a comprehensible and practical way. There is therefore a great need to make a low threshold offer of technology education in the neighborhood that can be communicated through leisure time. The project addresses the need due to the still high child poverty in Reuterkiez and Neukölln and can contribute to further stabilization of the quarter, which can also have an impact on surrounding quarters.
