TUB Teaching 2.0

Innovative entry, professional and research orientation in vocational teacher training programs

TUB Teaching aims to professionalize teachers,

specifically prospective teachers and their ability to design competence-oriented learning tasks.

As a support and accompanying offer for student teachers, cooperation labs will be set up at the beginning of the second funding phase of the BMBF’s quality offensive for teacher education program (Qualitätsoffensive Lehrerbildung). The aim is to create teaching-learning situations across learning locations where students develop professional and lifeworld-oriented processes for school students working together with practitioners. To this end, students develop and revise action-oriented learning tasks together with practice partners as part of a multi-step design process.

Subsequently, the designed work tasks are optimized with the help of experts to reflect the current cross-sectional topics of inclusion and diagnostics, language education, sustainability and digitalization.

With this focus on didactics, we contribute our expertise to work studies in universal education as well as to the cross-cutting issues of digitalization, language education and inclusion.

The measurement of the effectiveness of steps to increase students' competences with regard to the development of tasks is scientifically supervised and empirically examined. The developed tasks will be collected in a task database to be made generally accessible.
