The aim of the research project and the associated PhD project is the prediction of the subjective evaluation of everyday sound environments with regard to their annoyance and loudness. In addition to acoustic and perceptual sound-related predictors, situational and personal characteristics are also included as possible influencing factors in the study. Huge online and field studies conducted as part of the project provide comprehensive data on which both linear regression and machine learning models will be trained.
