There are occasionally funds available for supporting exceptional candidates.

For strong candidates with excellent qualifications, the possibility of applying for an external postdoctoral fellowship (Alexander v. Humboldt, Marie Curie, DFG or other) or a doctoral fellowship (BigNSE graduate school, DAAD or other) can be explored by working closely with Prof. Neubauer. In such cases, the process of applying for external fellowships should start as soon as possible and at least 4 to 6 months before the submission deadline.

In any case the considered project should be closely linked to the ongoing research activities at the chair of bioprocess engineering.
